The aim of Chronic Pain Ireland (formerly Irish Chronic Pain Association) is to provide information and support to those living with chronic pain, their families and friends. In addition CPI campaigns for greater education and understanding within the medical profession, the media and government of the condition. CPI provides a range of services including, information meetings, guest speaker events, awareness campaigns and self-management workshops which are held nationwide. In addition the organisation produces a quality newsletter and provides telephone and a discussion forum for members to communicate and share their experiences.
The existing website was developed some 6 years ago and had evolved through several iterations which had resulted in a number of issues in the interface for users and the administrator;

The project had a tight schedule to meet as the new site was to be unveiled to the Board Of Management at their AGM at the end of November and as the organisation operates on a voluntary basis it was important that the delivery was project managed and controlled from the outset. As a result the deadline was met with time to spare. We delivered a new Brand ID concept, website structure with CMS, reworked content as well as all the deliverables above to help manage and maintain and attract a the wider pain community to this content heavy site. We have also developed a framework to prepare for the delivery of an e-learning/ webinar component for phase 2 which will commence in Q1 2010.
