Heartchildren Ireland is a charity supporting the children and families of children suffering from congenital heart disorders. OLCHC is Ireland's centre of excellence for the care of children with congenital heart disorders. Together we wanted to set up an online resource of information to demystify hospital visits to OLCHC, help the children and their families to better understand the tests and operations they will undergo and explain who delivers the medical care they will be given when they visit hospital.

Monsoon Consulting acted as the Web Development Company and Project Coordinators for Heartsplay. Heartchildren Ireland approached Monsoon Consulting with the idea of creating a child friendly and informative website to help children understand their condition a little better and to prepare them for the daunting prospect of visiting Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin (OLCHC) for an operation. Monsoon Consulting created the complete information architecture and graphic design elements of the site and worked with Olivia Fallon, Play Specialist for the Cardiac Ward in OLCHC to create the content for the site.
