Monsoon Consulting is delighted to be working with Ireland's largest independent design & craft retailer, "Kilkenny Shop" with 16 stores across the country and a fast-growing eCommerce business.

The Kilkenny Group, a company steeped in Irish retail history, with over 50 years at the forefront promoting Irish design and supporting Irish artists and craftspeople, is now pursuing a renewed strategy to grow and drive their online eCommerce business.

The company now has 16 stores across the country including the iconic Nassau Street store in Dublin, which is Ireland’s largest emporium for Irish designed products.

Kilkenny are proud stockists of a wide range of top Irish designers, including Orla Kiely, Nicholas Mosse, Fee G, Caroline Kilkenny, Stephen Pearce, Waterford Crystal and John Rocha all internationally renowned for their talented creations and individual design flair.

Kilkenny Shop has been trading successfully online with the Magento platform for several years, however, in recent months wanted to ensure more stability, improve overall customer experience and brand interaction online and indeed capitalise on the huge digital transformation change in retail.

Monsoon Consulting were delighted to work with the team at Kilkenny to undertake a website review and audit whilst updating the back-end eCommerce application platform system to ensure key trading periods ( i.e Sale & Christmas peaks) were both scalable and performing due to the unprecedented increase in virtual footfall and customer demand.

Our team of expert Magento consultants, engineers, system & dev-ops carried out an extensive program of Magento Code upgrades, remedial enhancements and a new hosting re-architecture to reassure the business that the website could support the new marketing & sales campaigns Kilkenny were planning.

As a fast-moving B2C retailer, Kilkenny required a proven and experienced partner to react and work in an agile manner, whilst supporting the online business across a variety of key areas.

Monsoon’s multi-faceted expert team are now working closely with the team at Kilkenny to plan the future roadmap, with an ambitious and inspired new approach to integrated eCommerce for this iconic Irish retailer.
