One4all is part of An Post, and is the UK and Ireland’s leading supplier of gift cards and gift vouchers in the consumer and corporate markets. One4all gift vouchers can be redeemed with over 50,000 retailers across the UK and Ireland, and can be purchased at various outlets across the entire An Post network, via their call centre, and online at www.one4all.ie and www.one4all.com.
The management team at One4all recognised that as a percentage of overall gift card sales, the websites were underperforming. This was due to the overall shopping experience, poor user interface design, and the ecommerce platform’s inability to support ongoing marketing initiatives. The business decision was made to redesign the front end interface, and migrate the existing ecommerce store to a more flexible digital platform.
Our cross-functional project team worked with One4all to deliver a responsive B2C and B2B ecommerce solution, built on Magento Enterprise Edition. This was a complex and multifaceted project, requiring design and user experience expertise, along with technology configurations and deep Magento customisation.
In order to better serve One4all’s digital customers, the site was designed to work on desktop, tablet and mobile. Additionally, the design project included a requirement to integrate with a 3rd party card customisation tool, and to use the standard product catalogue features of Magento to deliver the extensive retail store database where the One4all Gift vouchers can be redeemed.
As part of the technical implementation, we integrated with 5 separate 3rd party systems, interrupting the typical Magento workflows to pass customer and order credentials to Sales, Accounts, Fulfillment and Voucher Card customisation tools, as well as implementing with multiple payment gateways.
We architected the solution to deliver a multi-store architecture, providing both a UK and Irish web front end shopping experience from a single Magento platform. One4all’s online presence now includes 2 corporate B2B sites: oneforallrewards.co.uk and oneforallrewards.ie, allowing them to engage with business clients in the provision of trade marketing, loyalty programmes and incentives.
Finally, a crucial aspect of the final delivery, was the specification and configuration of a robust hosting infrastructure to manage peak period Christmas traffic on the site.
Impact & Results
The resulting websites showcase a state of the art ecommerce solution and user experience, achieved through a highly customised Magento Enterprise platform. One4all are now positioned to better serve its B2C and B2B customer base, as the leading supplier of multi-store gift cards. Online exclusives such as personalisation features have been very successful, allowing customers to create unique cards with personalised messages. The improved shopping experience has been commented upon in feedback from regular users on the site and on social media.
